Urban Poverty Eradication Programme (AEOS)    

  • Urban Poverty Eradication Programme (AEOS) is a program aimed at helping poor and low-income groups in the city to improve the quality of life while reducing the burden of family responsibility.
  • The implementation of this Agreement is in line with the Government in the Tenth Malaysia Plan (RMK-10) which is to reduce the incidence of poverty from 3.8% in 2009 to 2.0% in 2015 and increase the average income of households earning the lowest 40% (referred to as B40) from RM1,440 in 2009 to RM3,050 in 2015.
  • AEOS target group is made up of households B40, which is made up of households earning less than RM3,860 per month and this includes poor households, poor and simple AEOS poor. Group target should be a citizen and their poverty status was confirmed in the System eKasih or Focus Group Meeting on Poverty Eradication state level or district or as directed by the Government.
  • The program is targeted at the hardcore poor and poor who live in the area of ​​operation of local authorities who are registered with e-Kasih system as those who want to be helped to raise the standard of living of the poverty line.
